Bio

I am from Spindale, North Carolina which is in between Ashville and Charlotte. After graduating from Appalachian State University in 2009, my husband and I moved to New Bern. While living in New Bern, I taught Business and Marketing classes at West Craven High School for 6 years. I received my Masters Degree from ECU during this time, and then started teaching part time for Craven Community College as well.

My husband advanced in his career from an Assistant Golf Professional at New Bern Country Club, to the Head Golf Professional at Jacksonville Country Club. After commuting a year, my husband was ready to move to Jacksonville. While living in Jacksonville, I taught Business classes at White Oak High School for 1 year.

I am very excited to be in the Swansboro Community, and to continue my teaching career at Swansboro Middle School. GO PIRATES!  I have three amazing daughters-Charlea, Lyza and Ryan, who each have distinct personalities. When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my daughters, who keep me very active and entertained at the ages of 7, 3 and 2. My family also consists of four dogs-Rufus, Korky, Caddy and Merry and FOUR cats-Chaco, Bagheera, Annie and Creek. I am looking forward to another GREAT year! JOIN THE CLUB, BE A PIRATE!!!!
